LITS to experiment with virtual servers (virtual machines)--December 2008
Virtual machine (VM) environments have matured to the point that they offer a viable alternative to physical server platforms for many uses. Advantages of VM include high availability, reduced hardware costs, and reduced power consumption. In the coming months, LITS will work with VU's ITS VM environment to determine which of our existing services might benefit.
