NOTICE: ACORN UPGRADE July 8/9
We will be upgrading Acorn/Workflows/Webcat to Symphony 3.2.1 Tuesday evening July 8th , starting at 11:00PM and finishing Wednesday morning July 9th , by 3:00 AM. This upgrade will require an upgrade to the Workflows Java client. You will be prompted to upgrade Workflows the first time you log in after the upgrade. Select yes and the new client will be downloaded automatically. CAUTION: if you do not upgrade your Java client when asked to do so, you may lose some functionality of Workflows!
_____________________________________________________________
As of 7/7/2008 Acorn webcat and Workflows should be up and functioning properly. If you are experiencing problems other than the known issues listed below, please submit an INFORM request or contact LITS at 322-7073.
The SirsiDynix server is at Symphony version 3.2. Your Workflows client version should be 3.2.0.1971.5.
Known Issues:
- When a home location is changed to a shadowed location on a multi-copies title, the red "S" also shows up on the home locations of the other copies attached to that title. This has been reported to SD and will be resolved in the near future. Staff should just ignore it for now, since it does not actually shadow the other items from the public.
- Some diacritics are still not displaying correctly in Webcat. Most of these cannot be resolved until we go to Unicode. However, some issues with using the ALA Character Set will be corrected in the next upgrade (3.2.1).
- Copy and Paste sometimes pastes more than the highlighted text. This will be corrected in the next upgrade (3.2.1).
- When you are using the Discharging Bookdrop wizard, the cursor automatically goes to date field. After you change the date using the gadget, the cursor used to automatically go to the item id prompt. Now the cursor stays at the date prompt after you change the date. This has been reported to SD.
- When you do a search by call number, it displays highlighting the call number before the one that you are looking for instead of the one that matches the search. This has been reported to SD and they have responded that this was the result of an enhancement request and is working as designed.
