The group discussed the possibility of adding office supply vending machines for patrons in our libraries. Central and Divinity agreed that one machine in the GLB would be useful, and Peabody is also interested. Biomedical and Science and Engineering will consider the possibility. Items suggested for inclusion in the machines: pens, floppy discs, USB memory keys, CD's, 9x12 manila envelopes, manila folders, bluebooks, Post-It notes, highlighters, white-out, Advil or another similar pain killer. We are in contact with University Dining, which will investigate costs and service options.
The directors agreed to set a deadline of January 30, 2006 for refunding money remaining on Vendacards.
Bill Hook will investigate the option of converting one or more of our photocopiers to scanners that will output multiple pages into single pdf files. A recent Askus question came from a patron who wanted to digitize multiple print journal articles without scanning one page at a time, and we have received a few similar requests in the past.
