Update on the LOCKSS project
The Library has been involved with two LOCKSS related projects: the original LOCKSS initiative for preserving access to electronic journals and the ASERL project to test LOCKSS software for preserving access to ETD's. The Library is also a member of the LOCKSS Alliance.
The LOCKSS project has a new web site. The URL is the same:
http://www.lockss.org/ The underlying software is MediaWiki (the very same open source software that powers Wikipedia!). What this upgrade means:
- Every page has a search box. Search results include page content matches (including a short excerpt of the match) and page title matches.
- In the near future detailed technical and collection development documentation will be integrated into this wiki and available and searchable through a consolidated interface.

CDROM LABEL TEMPLATE:
A template for creating the CDROM label for an ETD is called "ETD CDROM label template" and is located in the G:\Everyone\ETD Project Team directory.
