Metadata Committee meeting minutes: 11/7/2005
- Agenda: Demo of the Special Collections Photo Archives (Gray)
Members present: Nancy Boggess-Korekach, Marshall Breeding, Zora Breeding, Eileen Crawford, Catherine Gick, Teresa Gray, Mary Charles Lasater, Linda Tesar, Pete Wilson, Roberta Winjum. Absent: Annette Williams.
- Teresa Gray gave a presentation on the Heard Library Photographic Archive. She showed us the database interface and gave us hand-outs of the workforms used for the descriptions of the photos, and some examples of negatives that are scanned. Discussion followed about the structure of the records involved and the database searching mechanisms.
- Next meeting will be Nov. 28th, 9:00am. in the Electronic classroom. Catherine Gick will do a presentation on the Global Music Archive.
