While this is acceptable for now, it would be advisable to revisit this in the future. There was some discussion of the use of a Dublin Core formatted record for the ETD's, but Nancy was skeptical that the software we use presently would be able to handle that format. ETD Project Team Recommendations

Primo There was some discussion of the Primo product and where we are in that process. Mary Charles is representing the catalogers on the group that will review and plan the mapping of the Acorn records. She and Roberta will update the Metadata Committee on Primo activities whenever they have information available. Mary Charles will actively seek input from the other catalogers on issues that arise.

ETD Project Team Recommendations

The group decided that the original catalogers in Technical Services and Divinity, as well as Jeff Taylor and Ann Barnette will be given access to the ETD database in order to make changes to the metadata page. Nancy will supply them with the necessary login and password information.

Roberta will take all of this information to the Strategy and Planning Committee for review before any action is taken.

Jeff Taylor agreed to take on the creation of the CDROM call/copy on the Acorn record and creating the CDROM archive copy. Roberta will ask LITS to supply Jeff with a CDROM burner and software for his machine. Nancy will act as the back-up person for this activity in Jeff's absence.
