Meeting notes--Tracy

With most LDC members attending some or all S&P meetings and vice versa, how about combining the groups into a single weekly 1 1/2 hour meeting? Any concerns? Which time works best--Tuesday AM or Wednesday PM?
S&P discussed and endorsed the position of being fully supportive of staff who would like to work a 4-day, 40 hour week, where that can be arranged within a particular work unit. Can LDC also endorse and support such a position?

Minutes

1) LITS will implement a voice menu system. There are few phone calls received at the LITS main number, and the overhead of staffing a help desk is significant. When the voice menu system is implemented, the system will offer a flat menu, with the first option being to connect to a human being. The main LITS number will remain. The Inform system remains in place and remains the preferred method of reporting to LITS.

2) S&P and LDC will be combined in a single meeting. Meeting time is scheduled for Wednesday, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. Robyn will attend and take minutes.

3) Central, Divinity, Special Collections, Administrative Services, OUL, Peabody, Technical Services, and LITS are considering closure December 24 – December 28. No final decision has been reached.

4) Flo updated the group on the search for the University Librarian.

5) HR maintains a policy regarding a 4-day/10 hour per day work week. Flexible work schedules and the possibility of implementation within the library system was discussed.

6) Annual reports are due July 15.

7) Salary letters will be mailed on Friday, June 27, after 4:30 pm.
