Ticker Additions

1. GIS day (November 19)

2. e-classroom open for general use after 5 pm, starting Nov. 17

3. computers in libraries page (http://www.library.vanderbilt.edu/heard/computing.shtml)

4. extra laptops in circulation in S&E, starting December 8

2) NEW STAFF WEB

New Staff Web (drupal.library.vanderbilt.edu) Please review the new design. The plan is that the design will be rolled to production in late November. The design for version 1 is set.

Implementation issues for new staff web

1. Calendar entries need to be entered in two places.

2. Not all secondary pages have been converted to new format.

3. Video additions TBD

4. Separate login account currently required (VUNetID/e-password not accepted)

5. “Forums” take up prime real estate but it needs a less prominent placement

Staffweb re-design will be linked in Test Pilot, and then go into production. CC approves the deployment of the current design.

3) SPECIAL MEETING

Special meeting, Thursday, November 13, 1 – 2 pm, with Connie Dowell. We will discuss with Connie communication roll-out before and at her arrival in March. Anne Marie Deer Owens will join the meeting.
