Agenda

Attending: Celia Walker, Henry Shipman, Suellen Stringer-Hye, Angel Craddock, Ava Wilson, Paula Covington, Sue Erickson.

1. Web ticker: Celia will update the ticker by adding the article about faculty delivery for surrogates that was posted in the Staffnews and she will remove “new” from the header for the Library News Online. The Library News Online has lapsed, but she will move relevant articles from the Staffnews to the Library News Online to freshen it. After a new Communications Committee chair is identified, the committee will revisit the Library News Online.

2. DiscoverLibrary rollout: All is going as planned. The staff is being notified of the placement change and the new look. There will be two open houses on Feb. 20 for the staff and a training session on Feb. 27 and 28. “Be Brilliant” buttons will be available at the training sessions and later at the public services desks.

3. Staffnews Blog training: Celia gave the committee an overview of how to use the Staffnews blog. She will send out passwords to the team next week.

4. Other items: We will wait until we have a new committee chair to look over our goals and objectives for the next year.
