December 18, 2008 Communications Committee Meeting
1. Ticker
• Update with holiday card, Bernard exhibit in special collections and the Divinity Library exhibit.
2. Conversation with Connie Video series update
• 80 people viewed the video on the first day. Success!
• Will work on better sound and HD quality
• Connie wants to review clips before posting to staffweb
• We decided the order of the rest of the video clips
3. Website and mailer
• Paula has started collecting information to write the blurb
• Still need a quote from Connie
• We will use the text from the mailer for the top level web page
• We need to look at other Dean’s websites and see if we can use those ideas to create Connie’s page
• Timeline on flyer still looking at Feb 16
• We still need a photo for the mailer
• We will do as much as we can and leave holes for Connie to fill in
• Robin will get the mailer list from Lisa and Ava to announce to journals Connie’s appointment
4. LibQual
• Consultation with IRB--Will need online training to promote survey. Some people will get the training and others will receive talking points and refer questions to the trained people.
• Need full mock up of flyer in packet to give to IRB
• Marketing sub-committee will meet around Jan 5th
5. New Staff Web
• Got some “hate it” comments
• Any link that is reported broken has been fixed
• Suellen usually responds to comments left
• Will team up with skills and interests open house
