Communications Committee Meeting

August 5, 2009

We met with Dean Connie Dowell to discuss the future of the committee.

We decided upon three major tasks to work on:

1. Work with library development staff to create prototypes for a giving website to help increase fund raising

2. Create a brag sheet for Dean Dowell to take with her when she visits alumni associations and other organizations. Looking for something that is visually attractive 2-sided sheet with info on the whole library system. May include interesting statistics and other facts about the Heard Library system

3. Create a photo database so that we can have a collection of photos of our libraries and people using them to use in presentations and the like

Banners-Encourage each director to have a banner

We will go forward with Be Brilliant! Campaign but will be looking at revamping our marketing campaign as the look of the Acorn Chronicle changes. We need to figure out how to bring marketing, branding and the Acorn Chronicle together.

We need to think how to market our services and which ones. Also think of ideas for Acorn Chronicle for donors.
