Meeting Minutes June 20, 2006

Present: John Haar, Amia Baker, Mary Beth Blalock, Deborah Broadwater, Sue Davis, Catherine Gick, Lee Ann Lannom, Mary Prince, Carlin Sappenfield, Mary Ellen Wilson.

1. Bryan Kurowski trained the group in the use of OCLC’s Worldcat Collection Analysis tool and we discussed ways we could use the tool to analyze our own collections and promote collaborative collection development within the Information Alliance.

2. The committee made further plans for training collection development staff in the Workflows Java client. We will offer a basic training class covering displaying and interpreting fund records, printing fund records to a file, displaying vendors, and displaying invoices. John, Bill, Bryan, and Carlin will teach this class. We will also offer an advanced class in creating and editing fund records. Lee Ann and Mary Beth will teach this class.

Instructors will meet in early July to prepare curricula and documentation for each class.
