1. Lexisnexis State Capitol. An administrator in the Medical Center requested we acquire this database, which includes state bills, laws, regulations, and other documents. The cost is approximately $3,600 per year. Central and Law indicated interest in subscribing, and John will investigate a subscription.
2. Westlaw Campus. Law plan to cancel its campus-wide subscription, but Central and Science & Engineering indicated an interest in funding campus-wide access. Divinity and Music are willing to participate. John will also pursue this matter.
3. Gifts policy. The Committee agreed that it would be useful to develop a gifts policy for the Heard Library. We reviewed several older policies which can be merged into a new policy along with more information about tax implications, interaction with the University Development Office, and preservation. John will draft a policy for the group’s consideration.
4. Workflows Java client. The group discussed training needs for acquisitions and fund records in the new client and best times for training.
