Accomplishments
- Implementation of new book fund structure to track electronic subscriptions more effectively.
- Subscription to Scholarly Stats as tool for aggregating use statistics, reviewing 9 platforms
- Review of several new purchase options for Information Alliance, though several e-book packages were not approved.
- Participation in Duke Univ Press e-book pilot project
- Participation in OCLC CCCT pilot project
- Negotiation with Ingram Digital about MyILibrary Patron Select product.
- Consolidation of multiple EBSCO accounts into one, to improve use statistics reporting to Scholarly Stats
- Several libraries conducted serials/subscription reviews
- Reviewed and finalized collection policy and scope for VU e-archives
Goals for 2008-2009
- Review /analyze use statistics of electronic resources.
- Implement ERMS as tool for better management of collection
- Negotiate new agreement for Information Alliance Springer deal
- Develop comprehensive picture of restricted and endowed book funds across University Library system.
- Develop method to track timing of major invoice payments through the fiscal year.
- Participate in planning and revision of workflow for acquisition and mounting of electronic resources.
