The charge for the Circulation and Access Committee is to:
- Identify ways to improve service
- Identify ways to improve efficiency
- Identify ways to improve consistency across the libraries
In pursuing its charge, the CAC should consider all of its work in light of putting the patrons’ needs first.

2007/8 Annual Report
Chief Activities and Accomplishments
- Implementation of standard processing of reserves, and training for new processes.
- Elimination of fines (except Central) for books and other selected materials. The fine-free policy does not apply to recalled items.
- Review of overdue notices, especially for wording regarding fines and overdues.
- Change to Faculty profile, which allows Vanderbilt Staff to apply for faculty privileges.
- Review and streamlining of Acorn buttons during login by faculty.
- Information exchange
In the coming year, the committee will continue to discuss circulation policies and their implementation.
