1) A team, consisting of David Carpenter, Sue Erickson, Bill Hook, Robyn Harris, and Celia Walker, was convened by Library Council and charged to review access and use policies. The team has made a series of recommendations, which have been reviewed by Library Council. Library Council asked that CAC also review these receommendations. Overall, CAC supports the spirit of the recommendations. The recommendations may serve a good purpose of clarifyng policy and addressing some ongoing problems. However, there are a variety of implementation and enforcement challenges. CAC is curious to know how the recommendations will be implemented and the timeline associated with implementation. Tracy forwarded comments back to the team that created the report.

2) The SSN transition and use of the new Vanderbilt ID card is now a daily reality. The majority of transactions with the new card are proceeding as expected. Patrons are coming into the library the day that they are re-carded, and, as expected, there is no up-to-date record in Acorn. There are a variety of problems that have been noted. Some problems are ongoing, and some have been resolved. Problems with patron records should be reported to LITS via a Netfix
